This is an experimental workshop where you will use foraged items to create negatives that can be contact printed or enlarged using the equipment in the Folk House Darkroom. Throughout the workshop you will be encouraged to play with found negatives, using these to collage with and blend them together with other translucent objects. We will explore different ways of layering these and see what happens when we forget about cameras and photography altogether in the darkroom.
This workshop is partly in the darkroom, it is very much a standing workshop and in a small space.
Student Testimonial:
Sophie built up our skills in stages, with varied resources being made available as we progressed. Sophie was clear, approachable and knowledgeable.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
