In this one-day introduction workshop, led by hormonal health Medical Herbalist, Claire Goulding (BSc, MNIMH) deepen your understanding of the four main stages of the menstrual cycle and explore practical ways to enhance your energy, harness your power, working with the natural ebbs and flows of the cycle, all from a natural, holistic perspective.
Gain fascinating insights into a range of medicinal herbs that can help alleviate common symptoms such as PMS, heavy bleeding, period cramps, insomnia, anxiety, and more.
Expect a blend of tutor-led information and plenty of hands-on medicine making. Leave feeling equipped with knowledge, handmade medicine and a wealth of practical tools to empower and thrive.
The day course will include:
- An introduction into the 'materia medica' of a selection of medicinal herbs with both the latest research and the traditional use.
- Practical medicine making for hormonal health: how to make your own infusions & decoctions with different plants to suit different stages of the month
- Instructions on how to make your own folklore tinctures
- Tea tasting, offering an introduction to the energetics of herbs from a Western herbalism viewpoint
- Learn how to create your own bespoke herbal tea blends to take home

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
