In this course, students will embark on a captivating journey into the world of Interior design. They will begin by creating their own brief, whether it's for a room or their entire home, and gather inspiration to kickstart their creative process. The course will then delve into the fascinating realm of Colour Theory for Interior Design, where students will learn how to create an initial 'Mood Board' to set the tone for their designs. They will also explore 'The Seven Principles of Interior Design' and reflect on previous images to further inspire their work.
Next, students will learn the art of creating a Floor Plan, incorporating the knowledge they have gained up to this point. The course will then move on to refining their brief, creating a 'Guided Shopping List', and demonstrating how lighting and finishing touches can greatly impact a space. Finally, students will receive guidance in the creation of an in-depth concept board to complete the course. Throughout the course, students will discover their own unique style and learn how colour can transform or elevate a room. They will be guided in creating floor plans for specific rooms, understanding the needs of different spaces, and appreciating the importance of lighting and other key features. The course will also cover the sourcing of items and how to ensure everything ties together harmoniously. Additionally, students will explore various techniques for styling a room or house. This course is designed for beginners who have a keen interest in interior design, as well as those who may have struggled to implement their interest or felt overwhelmed by the subject matter. It provides a supportive and informative environment for students to uncover their individual styles and learn how to translate them into stunning interior designs.
