This workshop is ideally for students who love colour, and want to explore how a simple printing technique can be used to create multiple effects and depth to your designs. You do not need any previous printing experience, and also for those who want to take their printing further who may have tried other techniques in the past.
Reduction lino printing despite the name is full of possibilities, and is a great way for people interested in Lino printing to create exciting images using only one lino block, cutting away for each layer until your image is complete.
The tutor will be there to lead you through the technique that she herself specialises in and will help you to develop your ideas. Taking inspiration from plants, forms, your own idea and looking at ways to express this in printed format.
Student testimonials:
I was really pleased with the workshop and found Kerry's teaching team to be exceptional. She was very methodical and clear and you can see she is a passionate artist. I am considering buying my own print press now. THANKYOU KERRY!
I love how we are all encouraged to find our own projects and style with Kerry there to facilitate our ideas and guide us on the best way to achieve them.
Bring your ideas along, photos or drawings for inspiration.
Each student will be provided with 2 A6 Lino blocks and scrap pieces, additional Lino and brand new sets of tools can be bought from the tutor. All other materials and equipment will be provided

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
