The Fool, The Tower, The Hanging Man...many people find the imagery of the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot, the most popular Tarot deck, intriguing but intimidating. How can we use these images to provide insight into our minds or divine the future?
In this workshop, via conversation, group work and individual reflection, we will explore the history, uses and imagery of the Tarot. You will learn how to interpret the images on the cards using your life experience, understanding, and intuition. This workshop will not specifically teach you to read the cards, although we will do a few reading exercises; we will focus instead on helping you develop your observation, interpretation, and expression skills in a supportive group environment. This workshop is suitable for people with no previous knowledge or experience (you do not need to own or bring a deck to participate), and for anyone with some familiarity with the Tarot who is interested in developing your interpretation and reading skills in a new way.

Carolyn was great how she encouraged us to share and explore the meanings of the Tarot.
Please bring journaling materials, and a Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot deck if you have one. You are welcome to bring a pillow, blanket, or anything that might make you feel more physically comfortable in our space as you participate in guided meditation or channel your intuition.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
