A Night at The Movies
With Westerly Winds and The Fantasy Orchestra
We have a magical night in store for you. Bringing together two local orchestras of wind and brass, playing your favourite songs from stage and screen.
This special event is the coming together of communities on Fair Saturday which is a celebration of artist and culture and promoting good in the world.
The Bristol Folk house will be donating all ticket sales to good causes. Their main goal is to offer free tickets to events and courses to those who are unable to access its services.
An event not to be missed.

Westerly Winds
Formed in September 2013 as a teaching band and comprised of players ranging from complete beginners with no musical education, to players returning to their instrument after several years break. What they all had in common was a desire to learn and to make music together. The bands' enthusiasm to perform in public has been a driving force behind our improvement.
Currently, our band comprises of 5 Flutes, 1 Oboe, 9 Clarinets, 4 Alto saxes, 3 Tenor saxes and 2 Baritone Saxes, 1 French Horn, 1 Mellophone, 2 Euphoniums, 5 Trumpets, 1 Bassoon, a Bass Guitar and Drums.

The Fantasy Orchestra
The Fantasy Orchestra is a community project led by Jesse D Vernon, based in Bristol and also in Paris. The Orchestra (motto: ‘more is more’) brings together 40+ musicians, professional and amateur, to create a kaleidoscopic symphonic brigade.
Their eclectic repertoire covers film soundtracks (Morricone, Barry, RD Burman), rock and pop favourites (Hendrix, Beatles, Bowie), and some more obscure treasures. Think psychedelic loveliness, rousing choral noise, and some choice costumes.

Fair Saturday
Fair Saturday aims nothing less than to make people think, to generate a positive impact through culture and through the people’s need to be responsible for the creation of a better world.
Fair Saturday is a global movement that aims to create a positive social impact every last Saturday of November, the day following Black Friday, the greatest expression of consumerism. Artists and cultural organisations from all over the world get together in a global festival following just one requirement: to support a social cause of their choice through their show. How?
To find out what else is happening across the city on this day visit the fair Saturday website.
Tickets are available online, over the phone or in person.
