The Pete Trill Band has returned for a second year with a brand new set of British folk blues. With a semi improvised approach the band bring a fusion of traditional blues and folk with an atmospheric sometimes cinematic sound. They have also brought some special guests along for the occasion.
Folk guitarist and singer/songwriter Matt Short joins fellow band members Joe Wilkins (Elles Bailey, Sefrial) Tony Randall Phillips (Adele, Sam Smith) and Si Jubb, (Jubb and the Dirty Sleeves, The Last Men) with the legendary harmonica player Pete Trill, who’s list of playing credits includes Peter Green, Patrick Duff, Eddie C Campbell, Champion Jack Dupree, Mick Taylor and Paul Simon.
This year, along with band favourite Eric Mylod-Okafo, the band are privileged to be sharing a stage with the incredible Tammy Payne.
Tammy started out in the early 90's, releasing a couple of dance hits on Gilles Peterson's iconic label Talkin Loud.
Deciding to travel, learn bossa nova songs and study percussion instead of making an album of more dance tunes, she found herself making some eclectic collaborations, notably with Bristol sound legends, Smith And Mighty, and PJ Harvey producer John Parish ( with whom she toured as the drummer ).
Other bands around this time she either sang, drummed or wrote in were - Sissi, Patrick Duff, Boca 45, Jukes and Mackay.
In more recent times she released "Dont Think Twice" with Tamco. A psychedelic jazz meets alt rock project covering the likes of Leonard Cohen and Elvis Costello.
Tickets are available online, over the phone or in person.
