For one night only, step into an immersive ritual with Rosina Buck and MARCY - the dynamic musical response and collaborative experiment of Annie Gardiner & Dan Johnson - as they welcome Rosina’s new single and music video, WITCH, into the world.
This is destined to be more than a gig - it’s a ceremonial gathering, a space where music, poetry, and film intertwine to create something truly magical. Rosina will conjure her otherworldly spoken word, weaving heartfelt incantations that blur the lines between the seen and unseen. MARCY will offer an intimate acoustic set, responding in real time with haunting melodies and raw, emotive soundscapes.
At the heart of this event is collaboration - an offering of Bristol’s rich creative energy, where artists from different disciplines come together to create something greater than the sum of its parts. The evening will celebrate the first official screening of the WITCH music video, a cinematic invocation woven with symbolism, spellwork, and the raw essence of transformation, crafted by a visionary team of Bristol-based filmmakers and artists.
Then, over the course of an hour-long performance, you’ll be taken on a journey through sound and spoken word, through shadow and light, through the raw, electric energy of live collaboration. The air will be thick with the scent of burning incensecurling through candlelight, the warmth of bodies gathered close. Smoke will rise and dance in the low glow, as poetry and music weave their own kind of spell.
This is an invitation to gather, to listen, to feel, and to be part of something fleeting yet deeply transformative. Fittingly, this gathering takes place just before Mother’s Day - a day to honour the nurturers, the creators, the life-bringers. And what better way to celebrate the mother than
through the figure of the witch, the wise woman who walks between worlds? This is a night to reclaim the magic of the feminine, to honour the cycles of birth, creativity, and transformation, and to gather in collective celebration of art as ritual.
So, join us for an evening of filmmaking, poetry, music, and magic - a night where the veil between worlds feels just a little thinner, where scent and sound, light and shadow, breath and voice come together in ritual. A celebration of Bristol’s artistic spirit - collaborative, raw, unique and alive!
