Learn how to do Gua Sha Facial Massage for a truly integrated approach to wellness, health and beauty.
In this workshop, you will embark on a comprehensive exploration of Gua Sha, an ancient Chinese technique to rejuvenate the skin, promote circulation, and restore harmony to the body and mind. From understanding the fundamentals of Gua Sha to learning techniques, this workshop is designed to empower you with the knowledge and skills needed to elevate your skincare routine.
Contraindications: Avoid Gua Sha if you have
- open or unhealed wounds
- high blood pressure
- a history of heart problems
- problems with bleeding or bruising
- fillers
If you have recently had Botox, a minimum of a four-week wait is required. If you have recently had facial surgery, a minimum of a six-week wait is required.
Please bring a Gua Sha tool if you have one (or the tutor can provide one), a mirror, a face oil, serum or moisturizer of choice and some drinking water. Feel free to bring a hair band and a towel if needed. To enjoy the full benefits of a Gua Sha massage, it is recommended to not wear any make-up.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
