In this intensive two-day workshop, participants will embark on an exploration of the world of interior design. You will kickstart your creative process by developing a personalised brief and creating mood boards to set the tone for your designs, delving into colour theory and the principles of interior design to enhance their understanding and inspiration.
Gain the confidence to work with contrasting or complementary colour palettes, create a floor plan for a specific room (remember to bring room measurements), understand the importance of lighting, and learn how to tie everything together. Uncover your individual style and discover how to translate it into your interior designs.
This workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone who has struggled to implement their interest in interior design. Get ready to unleash your creativity and transform your living space into a true masterpiece!
*Happening on the 14th and 15th of September*
Please bring coloured pens, pencils, post-it notes, and inspirational collected images, printed or cut from magazines etc: Interiors, architecture, colour, magazines snippets, travel photos etc (we will be doing more of this but I want to see what inspires you. Anything goes, do not hold back).
Please also bring room measurements so that you can create your floor plan, include, wall to wall, ceiling to floor, ceiling to window ledges etc.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
