This workshop is suitable for anyone interested in using Photo Editing software and techniques. Perhaps you have a backlog of digital images just waiting for some attention! If you have some basic computer skills and enjoyed and enjoy Digital Photography - Then this workshop is for you.
Your tutor will walk you through the maze of options and clarify the differences between popular software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and Serif Affinity. You will learn how to build your own basic Photo Editing Workflow (for RAW or JPEG) and how to make fundamental photo edits to bring your images to life. Students will explore a range of post processing terms and techniques including Exposure, Vibrance, B&W Conversion, Cropping, Healing and Cloning and more.
Students should bring a laptop and suitable software if possible, however your tutor Lee will ensure that all students have access to practice some hands-on skills. Students are welcome to bring a small selection of sample images (tutor samples will be provided).
Please bring your laptop computer if you have one, plus charger and mouse/mouse mat. Your tutor will also supply a booklet.
Please note: All 10, and 12 week courses have a half term break in the middle. For term dates please visit our Contact us page. We are not open on bank holiday Mondays and any class that falls on these days will be made up at the end of term.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
