This workshop looks at how to capture your favourite species and habitat around you effectively using line, watercolour, and a little annotation. Various aspects of wildlife sketching will be explored from how to tell a visual story through annotated drawings and the use of colour and tone to describe the form, markings, and textures of your animal, be it a small insect or a large mammal.
Effective methods of creating an engaging image will be shown through demonstrations followed by exercises, allowing you to develop your own personal style using the photographic reference provided. Suitable for all abilities, the session is designed to be fun and to inspire your imagination.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
