This course is suitable for DSLR, Mirrorless, Compact System or Bridge Cameras only.
If you have some prior knowledge of your digital camera controls and enjoyed the Intro to Digital Photography course or Using Your Digital Camera workshop, then this course is for you.
You will explore some popular genres of Digital Photography in order to develop your own interest, ie Architectural, Street, Macro, Still Life, or Studio Portrait. Your tutor will help you to select the most suitable camera mode and light source, whilst also bringing creativity to your images (tutor cameras and lenses will be available to trial). This course will include some peer photo reviews and tutor demos on how to gain the best results from your photo editing software.
Please bring your camera and ensure that your camera battery is charged (bring a spare battery or charger if possible). A pen and paper to make notes will be useful. Your tutor will also supply notes.
DSLR cameras are available and free to borrow in class, please contact admin@bristolfolkhouse.co.uk
Please note: All 10, and 12 week courses have a half term break in the middle. For term dates please visit our Contact us page. We are not open on bank holiday Mondays and any class that falls on these days will be made up at the end of term.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
