In this workshop we'll expand on our learning in the Tarot for Everyone workshop to take a deeper dive into the Major Arcana, the 22 archetypal cards that tell the story of the Fool's Journey. We'll take the time to explore each of the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot’s Major Arcana images, learning about their lore and meaning and generating personal insights into what these images can teach us. Through conversation, group work (be prepared to act out the card of your choice, if you care to!) and individual reflection, we'll develop our observation, interpretation and expression skills in a supportive group environment. You do not need to own or bring a Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot deck to this workshop; we will project the images on the cards and have several examples to share. Although you are welcome to join this workshop with no previous experience of the Tarot, you will get more out of it if you have participated in the Tarot for Everyone workshop or already have some familiarity with the cards. We will focus only on the images of the Major Arcana; this is not a card reading workshop and we will not discuss the Tarot in general.

Latecomer
If a course has already started, please call the office as it may be possible to join after the start date. This may only be possible if the course is not already full, if it is not disruptive for the other students and you are aware that you have missed a percentage of the course and the tutor will not have time to catch you up. This will be at discretion of the Folk House. We run our courses termly, so it might be best to start at the beginning of the course.
