Charity Russell

About

Charity Russell is a full time childrens book illustrator and designer. From a very early age drawing has been a passion, an escape and chance to be able to let the imagination run wild and create worlds and characters outside of the mind in 2D form. Illustration seemed a perfect vocation, a chance to tell stories with images. She studied at Falmouth University College for her bachelors and later gained a first class honours masters degree at The University of Sunderland. Charity has run several school clubs, teaching youngsters about picture books and how to create them. She is always amazed at how even in a very simple style can tell a story. Enthusiastic in sharing her love for literature and art, she is intrigued by how the mind interprets what it sees and how memory and experience affect what we produce.
