Jen is a performance coach, musician, recorder teacher, and fully qualified and registered Alexander Technique teacher. She helps students improve their performance and general well-being through a comprehensive approach to the mental and physical issues that are causing them to suffer and not perform to their full potential. She works a lot with people who have physical or medical conditions, and want to learn how to move well within the limits of the physical symptoms and prevent any further damage.
Jen has over 15 years’ experience in Alexander Technique, and another ten working in music and professional theatre. She has a particular interest in working with stage fright issues, and has run courses at the Folk House on conquering performance anxiety with great success. Jen teaches Alexander Technique at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She has also worked for Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, Bristol City Council, Cardiff University, Leeds Arts University, Wales Academy of Voice and Dramatic Arts, and Wells Cathedral School.
When not teaching, she can be found with a book, in the gym, or playing recorder with her groups Pink Noise Recorder Ensemble and the Biber Recorder Duo.
