Rachel Preston will be teaching quilt making at the folk house. Originally training in hand craft tailoring and working as a costume maker for period films and theatre in London for over a decade alongside maintaining an art and making practice. She is now based in Bristol where she teaches sewing and works on bespoke commissions for interiors. Fascinated by textile making in all its forms- especially specialising textile printing, knitting and quilt making.
Rachel is looking forward to sharing knowledge accrued over 15 years of making quilts, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere to learn new skills and enabling people to make objects that are meaningful to them.
