Hello!
I am a Tai Chi and Qigong Instructor and health professional
I have run a successful private teaching practice for the past twenty three years and regularly give classes, weekend courses, one to one sessions, talks and retreats for people who wish to learn skilful techniques for personal development, health and wellbeing.
I began studying Tai Chi thirty three years ago, and after an introduction by a Dzogchen practitioner friend, eventually become a dedicated student of Tai Chi Grandmaster Dr Shen Hongxun, founder of the Buqi Institute Belgium, for over sixteen years until his death in 2011.
I studied closely with Dr Shen in Europe and the UK, eventually receiving permission to teach his self-healing Qigong practice (Taijiwuxigong) and the Taiji 37 form and qualifying as a Buqi therapist. Since then, I have worked as a Tai Chi and Qigong Instructor all over Bristol, Bath and the surrounding areas and run retreats further afield.
Using the Buqi model for understanding the roots of ill health, I have worked therapeutically with people from all walks of life. I am very passionate about my work, and have been fortunate to be able to use my skills to support people with a wide variety of physical, mental and emotional health issues.
In addition to my private practice, I have worked for Bristol Mind, for various Drug and alcohol rehabilitation programmes, with youth groups (5-18 years), given classes and courses at St John’s hospital, Bath, worked supporting women in Refuge Centres, and at present run weekly classes for Parkinson’s Uk teaching Voice and Tai chi techniques
