Sylvia’s pilates journey began in her early 20’s, while she was busy following her ambition to make shows, as a physical theatre artist and puppeteer. She happened upon a local class and came away feeling strong, calm and centered. The Pilates principles of flow, focus, coordination, balance, flexibility and strengthening, meant it became her exercise method for life.

Sylvia qualified as a Pilates Instructor in 2011, with the Pilates Institute London. Since qualifying she has continued her training in special populations Older Adults and Pre and Postnatal, as well as equipment and Barre. She loves teaching others the many benefits of a regular Pilates practice, knowing Pilates is an inclusive practice with a way into movement and wellbeing for everyone.

With a deep passion for Pilates, Sylvia believes in striking a balance between honouring the original repertoire and teaching a creative and evolved approach, offering you fun, inspiring, mindful sessions which bring you greater wellbeing and creative energy.
